Columbia Personal Injury Lawyer > South Carolina Gas Can Explosion Injury

South Carolina Gas Can Explosion Injury Lawyer

There have been numerous burn injury lawsuits involving gas can accidents. These events often occur at bonfires, near fire pits, or when individuals are trying to make a fire in their yard. Doctors at the burn center often refer to the winter as “gas can season” because of the increased number of gas can related burn cases that occur during the colder months.

Over the last decade, manufacturers, retailers and distributors have settled numerous burn injury lawsuits involving defective Blitz gas cans.  These burn injuries occur when a flame enters the gas can through an unguarded pour spout causing the gas cans to ignite and explode, subsequently causing serious burn injuries to individuals.

Recently, one of the nation’s largest retailers and largest seller of plastic gas cans agreed to settle personal injury and product liability lawsuits that were filed as a result of injuries sustained from exploding Blitz gas cans.  In addition to the Blitz gas cans, the following are other brands of gas cans that may be defective: Midwest, The Plastics Group, and Scepter. These brands of gas cans may be sold at a variety of retailers and could potentially be dangerous.

If you have been injured or burned while using or in the vicinity of an exploding gas can, you may be entitled to compensation. Contact The Stanley Law Group to find out how a burn injury lawyer can help.
